Earlier this year at the 2012 New York Auto Show, Toyota unveiled an all-new Avalon model. And while the majority of the 70,000 full-size Japanese sedans will be sold to retail customers, 1,000 will be offered as livery cars.
This is Toyota’s first entry into the livery market, and the Avalon model will be the least expensive of the models available, and will also be the only one that comes in front-wheel drive form. Toyota automaker will be competing with the likes of the Chrysler 300, Cadillac XTS, and Lincoln MKT.
The Avalon XLE-based livery model will remove the heated front seats, but will have heated rear seats and rear climate controls. The XLE Premium hybrid will see a few luxury amenities removed including the backup camera, moonroof, heated front seats, and integrated garage door opener. Both models will feature black paint and black leather interior.
